Outbreak of Infectious Diseases through the Weighted Random Connection Model
When modeling the spread of infectious diseases, it is important to incorporate risk behavior of individuals in a considered population. Not only risk behavior, but also the network structure created by the relationships among these individuals as well as the dynamical rules that convey the spread of the disease are the key elements in predicting and better understanding the spread. In this wor...

The Volterra delay integral equations have numerous applications in various branches of science, including biology, ecology, physics and modeling of engineering and natural sciences. In many cases, it is difficult to obtain analytical solutions of these equations. So, numerical methods as an efficient approximation method for solving Volterra delay integral equations are of interest to many res...

We study the diameter of a family of random graphs on the torus that can be used to model wireless networks. In the random connection model two points x and y are connected with probability g(y − x) where g is a given function. We prove that the diameter of the graph is bounded by a constant, that only depends on ‖g‖1, with high probability as the number of vertices in the graph tends to infinity.
متن کاملA Model for Controlling the Outbreak of Water and Foodborne Diseases after Natural Disasters
Background: After natural disasters the likelihood of outbreak of infectious diseases especially water and foodborne diseases, increases due to population displacement, increasing risk factors, environmental changes, changing living conditions and increasing vulnerability to pathogens. This research was conducted with the aim of designing a model for controlling the outbreak of water and foodbo...
